Francesco Bagnaia secured another victory at the MotoGP Italian GP – his third consecutive win after 2022 and 2023. The Ducati rider was the target to beat throughout the weekend at Mugello and once again confirmed his superiority in the main race.
In an interview with the official broadcast, the Italian commented: ‘Incredible. It wasn’t easy starting from fifth, but then I had this strategy of going from the outside and it went perfectly. Then I started to push’.
Despite always seeming in control, Bagnaia emphasized that it was a challenging race: ‘It wasn’t easy, because it was difficult to manage well the rear tyre because I was pushing a lot the front’.
Regarding the victory, the 2022 and 2023 champion stated: ‘But finally winning today after a weekend like this is fantastic. I love all of them [the fans], it’s incredible, and I’m also happy for Enea that he did a really good job. «Grazie Italia, grazie Mugello, fantastico!» [Thank you Italy, thank you Mugello, amazing!»]’.
