In November, the MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix will take place, which this year was scheduled for the latter part of the season due to the construction work at the Lusail International Circuit… which is now completed.
The intervention aimed to modernize the infrastructure, which had not undergone significant changes since its construction in 2004. The changes were aimed at fans, teams, and riders.
The stands have now up to 40,000 seats, but all the circuit, including other areas, can now accommodate up to 52,000 spectators. There are new VIP areas, and the box building and paddock are new, with the audience able to follow the action on various giant screens around the track. The track remains the same but has been resurfaced. The garages are larger, and there is a new race control building. The press also has new facilities.
