Rain prevented teams from taking advantage of the MotoGP test day that took place last Monday in Mugello. However, Monster Energy Yamaha already has two test days planned soon in which it hopes to make up for lost time.
Team director Massimo Meregalli revealed to the official championship website that the test will be on June 11 and 12 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia – which will host the season’s final round in November. The Italian stated:
– Unfortunately, we could not do a single job of what we were planning to do [in Mugello]. Luckly ten days ago we decided to organize another test in Valencia since Kazakhstan GP was postponed. Hopefully there we will be able to evaluate all the things that we were supposed to do in Mugello.
Only Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo will participate in these two test days, with test rider Cal Crutchlow absent, as Meregalli mentioned: ‘Only Fabio and Álex, because as you know Cal had a surgery and has a quite long recovery, so we cannot count on him’.
